- Increased clients served by counseling grants by 42% since previous year

Launched a series of Empowerment Initiatives aimed at giving birth/first mothers a voice to speak out on issues that affect them
- Published 6 POV series, providing a forum for birth/first mothers to critique adoption stories in TV and movies from their point of view
- Published 3 Spotlight on Education Interviews highlighting the achievements of our educational grant recipients
- Increased new client intakes by 13% since previous year
- Accomplished 3 outreach trips throughout California: Sacramento, Los Angeles, and Central Valley and increased partnerships with community-based organizations
- Streamlined our services by integrating our donor tracking system with our website and social media platforms

2018 ACHIEVEMENTS
- Increased January-February client intake by 66% from last year
- More than doubled demand for Spring retreat participation among first-time attendees
- Hired a new retreat clinician to improve professional support for staff/facilitators and therapeutic support for clients during retreats
- Added an additional retreat in Southern California, increasing clients to be served at retreats by 50%
- Increased accounts payable efficiency by adopting a direct deposit system for our vendors
- Developed a Pathway to Leadership for Clients, including a retreat co-facilitation pathway
- Participate in UN Commission on the Status of Women in March in New York City, in which MPA staff will represent as delegates
- Localized our website to include Spanish translation on our “For Birthmothers” page
- Held a client-driven online fundraising event for Mother’s Day
- Improved Gala programming to better communicate our mission
- Trained staff on effectively employing our community database platform
- Implemented a communications plan, including social media and website

2019 ACHIEVEMENTS
- Expanded our geographical impact for clients through an additional retreat held in Southern California
- Developed new brand to better align with our mission to empower birthmothers and increase community awareness
- Increased our engagement with community-based stakeholders, including Gala sponsorships
- Hosted our first community webinar for birthmother clients
- Increased client diversity at our retreats by 50%
- Developed a presentation about our mission's link to domestic violence and presented to San Francisco Domestic Violence Consortium
- Increased the funding and disbursement for Emergency Grants
