This discussion explores the emotional experience of letters, photos, and visits within adoption—what they can offer, what they can stir up, and how they may change over time. We’ll create space to talk about anticipation, joy, grief, gratitude, disappointment, and uncertainty that can accompany contact with an adoptive family and child. Together, we’ll reflect on expectations, boundaries, and self-care, honoring that every Birthmother’s experience with contact is deeply personal and valid, and that it’s okay for feelings to evolve.
